Fibenare Guitars at Huvel in Praha

For the second time Fibenare exhibited on Prahas biggest exhibition with Czech distributor MuzikaVara. Mr Lukas Varaja handled his job very well, also Mr Richard Scheufler demonstrated his signature Standard MIDI Bass. Thank you Lukas & Richie!

A custom Fibenare Guitar was manufactured for Mr. Stephen Colbert as a present. During a nice talk with Mr. Simonyi, our Ambassador in Washington, we realized that we had similar emotions to the Eagle bird like Mr. Colbert. So we made a custom American-Eagle guitar, dedicated by the three Fibenare Brothers, and Mr. Simonyi handed over the guitar during his show to Mr Colbert. We really hope that Mr. Colbert likes this guitar and will have a special place in his life.

"On April 10, Ambassador András Simonyi appeared again on Comedy Central's Colbert Report, a satyrical talk show hosted by Stephen Colbert. The Ambassador had already been a guest of the show on September, 2006.
This time, Stephen Colbert delivered offensive remarks at Hungarians on the April 9 show, in a mockery of the Imus scandal recently in media spotlight. Colbert also claimed that Hungarians could not play the guitar. In the April 10, he first repeatedly refused to apologize to Hungarians for his insults. Toward the end of the show, Ambassador Simonyi appeared only to prove Colbert wrong: he played the guitar at the cheering of the audience. In return of the eagle-headed guitar Simonyi gave him, Colbert agreed to apologize. He then asked Simonyi to "play us out" as the show neared the end."

Fibenare Guitars at Musikmesse 2007

We made the following step in our company's life. We were the first Hungarian luthiers who participated in the NAMM show's history.

We would like to give our thanks to Mr. Roy Blankenship for the excellent guitar amp and for the superb bass amp 'Glockenklang' we got from Mr. Uwe Salwender. We got the rythm of NAMM Show and the atmosphere of the after parties immadiately. Every day after the show we were invited to at least one party. The best was PRS party and the party of Guitar Magazine. We saw the John Brown Memorial Band show and danced together with our friends :)

Among the visitors Mr. Simonyi - the Ambassador of Hungary in Washington DC - had paid a visit at Fibenare booth. We were very happy that he could arrange his programme this way. Visiting Fibenare's stand at NAMM, Ambassador Simonyi was accompanied by Jeff "Skunk" Baxter, legendary rock guitarist, formerly with The Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan; C.J. Vanston, Joe Cocker's producer and keyboardist; and Eddie Kramer, former producer of Jimi Hendrix. On the same day, Baxter was presented the Music for Life Award by NAMM for lifelong contributions to the music products industry.

Fibenare Brothers with Ambassador Simonyi, met with NAMM Chairman Dennis Houlihan. Simonyi presented the Hungarian guitars before HBO's on-site crew (We hope there will be on HBO TV soon) and to Congressman Dana Rohrabacher (R-Ca.). Fibenare's participation at NAMM was assisted by the Ministry of Economy of the Hungarian Government. We presented Fibenare Erotic, Fibenare Globe Bass and Fibenare Eagle guitars. Ambassador Simonyi called our participation"a remarkable breakthrough owing to the courage of the young entrepreneurs behind Fibenare."
